Welcome to the Crocodile River Partnership

Welcome to the Crocodile River Partnership

Enter the Crocodile River Partnership, a collaborative endeavor bringing together a diverse coalition of organizations. The Dutch Water Authorities, the Inkomati-Usuthu Catchment Management Agency (IUCMA), the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS), the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), the Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA), and three local municipalities – the City of Mbombela Local Municipality, Nkomazi Local Municipality, and Emakhazeni Local Municipality.

Our collective mission is to enhance the operation of six wastewater treatment facilities, elevating the water quality of the Crocodile River. The Crocodile River serves as a source of drinking water, sustenance for agriculture, a sacred space for religious rituals and let’s not forget its importance to the aquatic ecosystem.

The Crocodile River Partnership is more than just a project; it is a testament to the power of unity and cooperation. All the remarkable individuals involved in this project work together to ensure that the Crocodile River thrives, providing clean water for all and preserving the vitality of this natural treasure.
