Appointment of External Members for Audit Committee and Risk Management Committee Advert

The Inkomati-Usuthu Catchment Management Agency (IUCMA) is currently seeking two qualified and experienced candidates to join the Audit Committee (AC), with one external member being appointed as the AC Chairperson. The AC’s responsibilities encompass various crucial aspects, including oversight of internal controls and Internal Audit effectiveness, evaluating Risk Management practices, reviewing accounting policies and procedures, ensuring financial reporting accuracy, assessing compliance with relevant legislation, and monitoring the scope of audits. Additionally, the AC addresses any other matters within its purview.

Furthermore, the Agency is inviting applications for the position of Chairperson for the Risk Management Committee (RMC). The RMC’s role involves overseeing and reviewing the effectiveness of IUCMA’s risk management systems, practices, and procedures. It also includes providing recommendations for improvement, formulating policies and strategies for Insurance Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Legal and compliance risks, Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, Fraud and Anti-Corruption, and Security Management. The RMC handles any other responsibilities falling within its scope.
